Three in every ten people in the world smokes cigarettes regularly. Every six seconds someone is killed by Tobacco. Electronic smoking revolution began in early 2007 having been initiated by a Chinese company called SBT Investment Holdings Limited under the brand name of Ruyan. The company still does distribution and commercialization of the e-cigarette as far as the USA. The main intention of creating e-cigarettes was to come up with something to use when one was in a non-smoking area.
It has now been turned into a full time hobby to swap for tobacco cigarettes. They were also intended to be a non-smoke producing tobacco quitting help though World Health Organization issued a press release in September of stating that it does not consider e-cigarettes to have enough research to be considered a justifiable smoking termination aid. This is provable by the fact that many users who tried using e-cigarettes to quit smoking find themselves continuing to smoke it as a hobby. Lately e-cigarettes are not even marketed as a quitting smoking device. They are just alternatives with a similar flavor though not quite like that of burnt tobacco cigarette. Today E-cigs are fast gaining popularity though critics claim it needs to be regulated as in the end it might cause more harm then good much more than a regular cigarette apparently.
Electronic cigarettes could have some advantages over tobacco cigarettes in that they do not contain Carbon Monoxide, tar and the more than 4,000 chemicals found in tobacco smokes. There is though a brewing tug of war over whether propylene glycol found in Electronic cigarettes could be harmful. Propylene glycol is normally added to the nicotine liquids so as to produce a colorless vapor during smoking that helps imitate the action of producing smoke during without producing the dangerous smoke produced when inhaling tobacco cigarettes.
